New diversion on the Gerpinnes-Hanzinelle worksite
From 09 December 2024, a new two-way diversion will be in operation from rue des Fosses au Sable in Hanzinne and rue des Combattants to minimise the inconvenience caused by the works and improve traffic conditions.

To ensure the reliability of the grid and security of supply in the area, Elia is currently laying an underground medium-voltage line between the municipalities of Gerpinnes and Florennes.

Extension of the diversion
For worksite-related reasons, and following new requests from other parties, a number of improvements have been and are yet to be made to optimise the useful life of the highway and public infrastructure already in place (water supply piping, for example).

Change to the diversion for Elia's Gerpinnes-Hanzinelle work site
From 6 May 2024, a new diversion will be in place from Rue Fayt in Hanzinelle and Rue du Sommet in Hanzinne in order to minimise inconvenience to road users from the work site.

There will now be a free shuttle service between Place d’Hanzinne place and Place d’Hanzinelle!
From Thursday, 18 April (and until Friday, 5 July inclusive), a shuttle will make five round trips from Place d'Hanzinne to Place d'Hanzinelle between 4.20 pm and 6.30 pm from Monday to Friday, except on Wednesdays, when the shuttle will operate from 12.15 pm to 2.30 pm. -

Work site information - N975 - new diversion
In view of the deterioration in the existing two-way diversion and to ensure the safety of motorists and other road users, a new diversion has been in place since 1 December 2023, from rue Donveau in Hanzinelle and rue du Sommet in Hanzinne.

Increased safety and diverted route
At the request of the town of Florennes, and to ensure motorists’ and other road users’ safety, all traffic passing through the worksite zone outside working hours will now be prohibited; only local residents will continue to have access to their homes.
