Safety around our infrastructure
Keeping everyone as safe as possible is vitally important to Elia. Only in a safe environment can we deliver outstanding work. That is why safety is one of our three core values: safety first, society’s interests first, and driven by performance.
The agricultural sector
In Belgium, the utilised agricultural area (UAA) accounts for almost 44.6% of the country (StatBel 2022). As a result, a number of infrastructures are located on or near agricultural areas or farms. Elia is aware of this, which is why we wish to establish a special relationship and monitoring with all stakeholders in the sector: whether landowners or farmers. Below, you will find the most frequently asked questions about our facilities, in relation to your activities, whether you are a landowner or a farmer.
