Progress of work on section J5-J6

Work is progressing on the J5-J6 section in the Municipality of Florennes. Here is the latest information we have to date.

In the next few days, Wallonia Public Service (SPW), and the Municipality of Florennes will be carrying out work on their water piping along the RN975 highway to resolve problems caused by the presence of water in the subsoil, which is preventing our trench from being compacted properly.

At the same time, we are currently finishing the backfilling of the trench. This backfilling will be completed by early March.

We will be carrying out foundation tests around Thursday, 6 March, to check that the roadway is compact and rigid, which will confirm whether the problem of water in the subsoil has been dealt with.

Subject to any new information arising or unforeseen circumstances, we plan to reopen the roadway with signposting from Friday, 21 March 2025, depending on the results of the tests and the success of the interventions by the SPW and the Municipality of Florennes.
