Day-ahead capacity

Elia has introduced interconnection capacity allocation mechanisms for transnational energy exchanges. These mechanisms fulfil market demand in a transparent and non-discriminatory manner. For the border between Belgium and the United Kingdom, Day-ahead capacity is calculated using a CNTC method (Coordinated NTC).

  • Net Transfer Capacity (NTC)

    These NTC day-ahead values are calculated at the boundary of the Elia control area, on the Belgian side of the NemoLink HVDC cable. They may therefore be different from the values published on the ENTSO-E Transparency platform, which are "Mid-Sea" values.
