News Hastiere-Pondrome

On Friday 29 November, after nine months of intense work, our colleagues brought the electricity connection between the Hastière and Pondrôme substations back into service.

As part of the Hastière-Pondrôme infrastructure project and associated community and landscape support measures, pupils from Houyet and Hastière schools have helped to create flower meadows, contributing in this way to local biodiversity. In partnership with EcoFirst, this activity is part of an approach to increase ecological awareness and community involvement.

After a preparatory phase in 2022 and 2023, during which the access roads to the pylons were created, the project is now entering the actual work phase.

In consultation with the local authorities, we invite you to an information meeting at the salle communale L'Aurore, Rue d'Hastière, 5560 Mesnil-Saint-Blaise, on Tuesday, 19 September, at 6:00pm.

To support citizens' initiatives in Beauraing, Hastière and Houyet, the Be Planet Foundation is launching a call for projects in these municipalities, in partnership with them and with the support of Elia, the electricity transmission system operator. 

During the weeks of 14 and 21 August, the last access and turning areas near certain pylons in the Houyet area will have to be repaired.

Now that all the permits necessary to renew the high-voltage line between Hastière and Pondrôme have been obtained, the works can begin.
