Public consultation process begins on construction of underground cable between Buizingen and Oisquercq (Tubize)
In both Wallonia and Flanders, the relevant authorities have confirmed that the planning permit application is complete. In the Flemish Region this stage was reached on 30 March 2020, with the Walloon Region following suit on 20 April 2020.
This means that the public can now view the contents of the Oisquercq-Buizingen planning application. Local residents can also submit any comments and/or remarks on the application within 15 days in the case of the Walloon municipalities and within a month for the Flemish municipality. The dates of the public consultations for each municipality are as follows:
- Tubize: from 13 May to 27 May 2020;
- Ittre: from 19 May to 2 June 2020;
- Halle: from 4 May to 3 June 2020.
The COVIDĀ19 pandemic has made it impossible to organise an information event to present the Oisquercq-Buizingen project to local residents.
Therefore, two videos and explanatory documents that can be downloaded remotely have been produced to provide full, instructive information about the project to the public.
Residents of the three municipalities affected by the project have also received a notification letter in this regard:
letter (in French)
letter (in Dutch)
flyer (in Dutch)
