Investment plan Flemish Region 2022 - 2032

Context

In the context of the Energy Decree article 4.1.19 Elia is, as operator of the local transmission network of electricity, obliged to submit an investment plan for the Flemish Region every two years to the VREG.

This investment plan includes several elements. On the one hand, a detailed estimate of the current and future capacity needs of the network in question and of decentralized production with indication of the underlying hypotheses. On the other hand, the most important infrastructure that needs to be built or renewed in the next ten years and the related decided investments. And finally, an overview of the investments that need to be made in the next three years with a timetable for these investment projects. Period

Elia invites all stakeholders to submit any comments and suggestions they may have on the document submitted for consultation.

The consultation period runs from the 1st of July 2022 to the 31st of August 2022.

After the consultation period, Elia collects all comments and feedback from the market parties. Elia will analyse these comments and integrate them into a consultation report together with Elia’s responses. In addition to the consultation report, Elia will publish the reactions of the market parties (including names) on the website, unless it is explicitly stated that the contribution is to be considered confidential.
