Work in front of Chièvres substation
Traffic will be able to enter Chemin du Bois Dérodé via the worksite area in one direction only (from Rue des Frères towards Rue du Chasseur).
To enable the works to proceed smoothly and allow site machinery to be parked, Chemin du Bois Dérodé will be cut off in the direction of Rue du Chasseur towards Rue des Frères.
This traffic management measure in the vicinity of the worksite was determined in consultation with the municipal services and the police.
Following the permit application that we submitted in July 2022, the Walloon regional authorities and the federal authorities have granted all necessary authorisations for this project (Planning Permission, Road Permission and Declaration of Public Utility).
The municipality of Ath has also issued a police order allowing the work to start in the above-mentioned streets.
This work is expected to last a few weeks, barring any unforeseen circumstances (unexpected events or weather conditions).
Minimising disruption
We are working with the contractor to ensure that disruption is kept to a minimum. The work will be carried out during the day between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Local residents will continue to have access to their homes and businesses. In the rare cases where this is not possible, you will be notified in advance in writing.
You will continue to have electricity during the work, and agricultural land will remain accessible for farmers throughout.
You can view the route in detail and track the progress of the work using our interactive map.
