News Gramme-Van Eyck

Following our successful visit in 2024, the municipal primary school in As, Belgium asked us to come back this year on 4 April to talk to the kids about the energy transition and organise a workshop on building a wind turbine. Of course, we were delighted to take this opportunity to teach the children more about energy and it proved to be another fascinating and educational day!

During the school visit on Monday, May 13, pupils from the 5th years of the municipal elementary school of As became acquainted with Elia and energy transition. They did so by visiting a high-voltage pylon and taking part in a workshop on building a wind turbine. It was an exciting and instructive day!

On Wednesday 6, Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 March 2024, three infomarkets were organised to inform local residents about the reinforcement of the high-voltage line between the Gramme (Huy) and Van Eyck (Kinrooi/Maaseik) high-voltage substations. The three infomarkets attracted a total of about hundred visitors who wanted to know more about the project.
