Planting a shrub edge in Hockai

In collaboration with our partner Ecofirst and the municipal authorities of Stavelot, we accompanied 25 students from the primary school of Francorchamps – Ster- Hockai in the heart of the High Fens for a somewhat unusual gardening activity.

Together, we planted 500 native shrubs at the feet of our infrastructure.

A fun and educational activity around biodiversity, ecology and the energy transition for our budding gardeners!

This initiative is one of the projects selected by Ecofirst to benefit from the landscape fund allocated by Elia as part of Step 2 of the East Loop

A resilient forest, ponds, fish ponds, nesting boxes, orchards... In all, no fewer than 28 landscaping projects will be carried out thanks to this fund allocated by Elia to the cities and municipalities of Malmedy, Spa, Stavelot, Stoumont and Trois-Ponts
