Submission of permit application

In order to fulfil one of our main missions and develop a reliable electricity network, while contributing to the country's electricity supply security, Elia submitted a permit application at the end of October 2023 for the laying of a new 150kV underground line between Braine-l'Alleud and Oisquercq. 

The proposed route connects the two substations, passing through the towns and municipalities of Braine-l'Alleud, Braine-Le-Château, Ittre and Tubize over a distance of approximately 12km. This route takes account of local considerations, the impact on local residents and the environment in which the project will be undertaken.

The next stages in the procedure involve declaring the dossier to be complete and then gathering the opinions of the various bodies required to express their opinion on it. These opinions will enable the delegated official to take a decision regarding Elia's request.
