Sending of the basic application and opinions to the Walloon government 

On 4 January, Elia sent the basic application together with your letters and the opinions of the various municipal authorities to the Walloon government.

The Walloon government will therefore be able to draw up specifications enabling the appointment of an independent consulting firm, approved by the Region. This firm will then produce the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).

We are still only at the beginning of the procedure and the EIA will provide an opportunity to obtain answers to any legitimate questions that you have. It will require one year of study, after which the report will then be accessible to the general public, during the public inquiry period.
