Advance public information meeting on 27 October 2020
On 27 October 2020, Elia will organise an advance public information meeting ahead of the environmental impact assessment (EIA) as part of the regularisation application relating to the second three-phase transmission line of the 220-kV Aubange-Esch connection (Belgian part).
This meeting is intended to:
- give Elia a chance to present its project;
- enable the public to learn more about the project and make observations and suggestions;
- highlight specific points that may be addressed in the impact assessment;
- present technical alternatives that may reasonably be considered by the applicant, so that they are taken into account when carrying out the impact assessment.
Therefore, the project team would like to invite you to this advance public information meeting, which will be held on
27 October 2020 at 7.30 p.m. in the marquee set up at
Plaine du Brüll, BE-6791 Athus (Aubange).
The submission of this planning permit regularisation application follows the revocation by the Council of State of the planning permit issued previously.
Following this meeting, members of the public will have 15 days to submit any comments or suggestions. These will then be considered by an independent consulting firm, approved by the Walloon Region and commissioned to conduct the EIA.
For logistical reasons and to ensure compliance with public health measures, if you would like to participate, please pre-register at the following link.
