A12 closed during the night between Saturday 12 June to Sunday 13 June for dismantling of high-voltage line
Elia plans to dismantle a 70-kV high-voltage line running through Londerzeel, Willebroek and Kapelle-op-den-Bos. The line has reached the end of its service life and has been decommissioned.
The electric wires over the A12 will be removed during the night between Saturday 12 June and Sunday 13 June. The A12 will be fully closed from 10.00 p.m. to 10.00 a.m. Traffic will be diverted locally in both directions.

Diversions on the A12
- Traffic towards Antwerp will be diverted at the intersection of Kerkhofstraat and Londerzeelsesteenweg via Kerkhofstraat, Acacialaan, Pilatusveld, Sint Kristoffelstraat, Meerstraat and Veurtstraat.
- Traffic towards Brussels will be diverted at the intersection of Veurtstraat and Breendonkstraat via Veurtstraat, Meerstraat and Molenhoek.
- Long-distance traffic between Antwerp and Brussels will be diverted via the E19 so drivers can reach their destination.
No traffic allowed via Koning Leopoldlaan towards A12 or Molenhoek
While the work is in progress, Koning Leopoldlaan will also be partially closed to traffic between Bessemstraat and Molenhoek. Businesses will remain accessible via Koning Leopoldlaan. It will not be possible to drive back along Koning Leopoldlaan towards the A12 or Molenhoek. Driving will be allowed on the sites of local businesses and via their entrances and exits along Veurtstraat and Meerstraat.
No parking allowed in Acacialaan, Pilatusveld and Sint Kristoffelstraat
While the work is in progress, traffic towards Antwerp will be diverted via local roads (see above). To ensure that diverted traffic can proceed safely and smoothly, no parking will be allowed on either side of the street on Acacialaan, Pilatusveld or Sint Kristoffelstraat.
Important: In case of bad weather, the work will be postponed to the night between Saturday 19 June and Sunday 20 June 2021.
