Generation Data
Elia provides data on electricity generation, power generating technical units , unavailability of technical units announced by generators, and much more.
Total generation
'Total generation' refers to all generating facilities in Belgium, at all voltage levels, and includes the actual decentralised generation for which Elia does not have measurements.
Only wind and solar generation data are available at present.
Power generation of contracted technical units
Contracted technical units refers to technical units linked to Elia by an Outage Planning Agent contract (OPA contract) and a Scheduling Agent contract (SA contract) setting out their rights and obligations with respect to the outage planning, scheduling and redispatching processes.
Unavailabilities of technical units
The European Transparency Regulation requires that generators share information about the current or scheduled unavailability of a generation unit as soon as they have it.
